Slice No Dice: Taco Tuesday

Slice No Dice is back, with a Taco Tuesday edition for one night only!

The next event in our Slice No Dice plant based dining series is a special taco menu. This event will put our amazing chef’s skills front and centre, with no dice or board games.

The event will be held in our main restaurant on Tuesday 9th June and no games bookings will be allowed! This evening is all about the food and will have a fully restaurant vibe.

We’re hard at work testing the menu but our current plan is below (we may make tweaks between now and the event!)

Starter

Tempura jalapeño slices

Housemade tortilla chips with dips - Refried beans topped with feta cheese, queso, guacamole and salsa

Main

Oyster mushroom birria tacos - with fresh red onion, coriander and a bowl of broth for dipping

OR

Banana blossom ‘fish’ tacos - with lime crema, cabbage slaw, mango salsa and avocado

All served with

Elote street corn - charred corn covered in mayo, chilli power and lime

Zesty Mexican slaw and Mexican rice with tomato and spices

Dessert

Cinnamon sugar churros - with hot chocolate dipping sauce

OR

Pastel de elote (corn cake) - with sweetened coconut cream and lime zest

How it works:

  • The set menu will be £35 per person for the above. For the dishes with a choice we cannot guarantee all options will be available all night, but you are very welcome to pre-order your selection to avoid disappointment!

  • Optional extra available to upgrade to both portions of tacos on the night subject to availability

  • If you have any allergies or intolerances, please email us at bookings@sliceanddice.cafe so we can discuss them with you ahead of the night. We will do our best to cater to allergies as much as possible but we are less likely to be able to without prior notice

  • The evening will run in staggered sittings in order to minimise the pressure on our small kitchen. There are a limited number of tables available so we’d recommend grabbing yours before they go!

  • Game-lovers fear not, the full Slice + Dice experience isn’t going anywhere! Normal gaming tables will be available as normal for the rest of the week

How to book:

2 person tables will require a £5 deposit which will be taken off your final bill on the night as long as your whole party attends.

3-4 person tables will require a £10 deposit, we’ll drop you an email once you’ve booked to ask if you’re a group of 3 or 4 and the deposit will be removed from your bill on the night as long as your whole party attends.

If you’re a solo diner or larger group then drop us an email at bookings@sliceanddice.cafe with your preferred time and we’ll look to add you in!

We never like having to take deposits but as we’re a small independent business doing something a little different to our usual, we just have to do this to protect ourselves from no-shows!

Slice No Dice: Taco Tuesday
from £5.00

Plant based foodie but haven’t discovered a love of board games yet? We’ve got just the thing for you!

Our chefs have come up with a special menu which will be available for one night only, at an event we’re calling ‘Slice No Dice’ because this event will put our amazing chef’s skills front and centre, with no dice or board games involved at all.

Small print:

If you have any allergies or intolerances, please email bookings@sliceanddice.cafe so we can chat them through with you before booking.

We are only able to hold your table for 15 minutes. If you arrive later than that we will do our best to fit you in but can’t guarantee this will be possible!

Deposits are refundable up to 3 days before the event by emailing bookings@sliceanddice.cafe
